About the Quartet |
|
The current foursome has been together now since early 2007, having come together from a variety of barber-shopping backgrounds. Although only quartetting together for six years, they have been friends since the early 1980's and each possesses a wealth of experience. Tenor Doug Marwood floats the high harmony, Lead Darcy Fraser tries to carry the melody while Bass Doug Robertson bottoms thing out leaving Baritone Kevin Robertson what's left.
Evergreen District Division III
runners up in 2007, 2009 & 2010, the quartet also won the Division in
2006, 2008 and 2011: talk about consistent! The group enjoys singing all types of
music, delving happily into early blues, jazz standards and even some
more recent early rock and roll favourites including some for the
Beatles fans in the audience. Never shy and known for singing a little
bit of everything, a healthy dose of humour accompanies every
performance.
Regularly counted upon to support the Stampede City Chorus, Trademark has also been a part of local Sweet Adelines International shows in the area as well as making themselves available to local service organizations.
Willingly accepting the torch from BRASS, Trademark also runs an annual weekend music education retreat for barbershopers in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Montana in Cypress Hills each summer, better known as Summer Glow.
